Kinoscope is a VR experience immersing the spectator into a lively and colorful universe to discover the history of cinema led by the voice of the Hollywood legend Dean Tavoularis, motion picture production designer whose work appeared in numerous box office hits such as The Godfather films, Apocalypse Now, The Brink’s Job, One from the Heart and Bonnie and Clyde.
Novelab demonstrated its technical skills for the project, especially in terms of integration, sequencing and video rendering.
CONTEXT
Dive into the heart of dreams, secrets and magic of cinema with Méliès, Chaplin, Kubrick, Leone, Truffaut, Godard, Tarantino and many others!
This journey in cinema, with a touch of humor, immerses you in the settings of the of the Great West, of North by Northwest, Psycho or Kill Bill.
THE EXHIBITION
This project has been produced by La Cinémathèque Française and Google Arts and Culture for the temporary exhibition “From Méliès to 3D: the cinema machine (October 5, 2016 – January 29, 2017).
