On the occasion of the first ceremony of the Étoiles du Jouet, Gulli and J2F Production asked us to imagine the set for this unique show, a fantasy planet that celebrates the 11 toy categories selected by the Fédération du Jouet. A real showcase for toys, where two presenters welcome children to compete to discover the 2023 winners, this world is an immense, animated and bustling playground to which we brought life thanks to Virtual Production.
Unreal Engine 5 Breakthrough in Children's Entertainment
For this project, we were able to free ourselves from the physical constraints of a small film set and create an immense virtual set where each element of the set comes to life and animates in real time according to the evolution of the game and the reactions of the children. This technological deployment was a first for the channel and allowed our teams to show their skills and the power of the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
Virtual Set Triumph Redefines Entertainment Standards
The show was a huge success, and the virtual production set was praised by critics and viewers alike. It was a groundbreaking use of technology in the world of children’s television, and it set a new standard for what is possible in terms of immersive and interactive experiences.
